Hello, curious readers!
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season and that you’re heading into the new year feeling inspired. I wanted to share a few updates on the site, my writing, and what’s coming next.
Site
I’ve updated the roadmap and site banner to better reflect the overall Curious Tales brand, not just June Day. Think: weirder, more cohesive, and more fun.
I’ve also updated my profile picture on X and plan to do the same on Facebook. BlueSky has kind of fallen off my radar for now, so I may leave that as-is.
Writing
I’m happy to announce that Curious Tales of a Warped Reality – Volume 2 is officially in post-production! 🎉
I’m waiting on a couple more beta readers to send in their feedback before making some light edits and preparing it for publication. I don’t have an exact release date yet, but February is locked in.
New Projects
Now for the big question: What is Jason working on now?
June Day 2
The follow-up to my novella June Day is already underway. The outline is complete, and I’ve started drafting. You can expect this one around June or July next year.
Gula
A story of obsession, power, and absolution. I don’t want to give too much away just yet, but this will be darker and grittier than most of my work so far. While I’ve written horror and thriller pieces before, this will be my first longer-format entry into the genre, and I’m excited to take that swing.
Project Nautilus
This one is a slow burn. Project Nautilus is intended as agent bait, while still being a solid story rooted in my voice and style. I currently have about 6,000 words written.
The plan is to complete the draft after June Day 2, begin querying while I work on Gula, and give agents 6–9 months. If it doesn’t land, I’ll move forward with self-publishing.
That’s it for now.
Happy New Year, and as always—stay curious.
