Another week, another update from your favorite sci-fi indie author — Jason!
🚀 Where We’re At:
The Infinite Man is getting its final polish before anything is finalized. I’m still querying agents in hopes of finding traditional representation. I know the odds are slim, but I’m giving it my best shot, even if that means a delay in release. If it works out, awesome. If not, I’ll keep moving forward with the indie route.
I’ve also officially started work on Curious Tales Vol. 2! I’m about 1,000 words in, not a ton yet, but hey, the journey has begun.
📚 What is Curious Reads?

I’ll be reading and reviewing indie books, with a focus on:
- Authors with small or no followings
- Self-published works or small press
- Kindle Unlimited titles only (to keep things budget-friendly)
Because I’m a slow reader and have limited time, there may be a bit of a wait. That said, if your book is already on my wish list or your blurb seriously grabs my attention, you might just jump the line. 😏
🔞 I’ll read up to PG-13 or light NC-17 content, but nothing explicitly graphic.
🧠 What I Want to Read:
Sci-Fi
Favorites: Ender’s Game, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Sphere, From the Earth to the Moon
If it’s smart, strange, or spacey — I’m in.
Speculative Fiction
Love shows like Black Mirror, Love, Death + Robots, and The Twilight Zone — if your book plays with perception or questions reality, I’m especially interested.
Fantasy
Not my primary genre, but I still enjoy a good fantasy adventure.
📏 Bonus points for: Novellas and Short Story Collections — I can usually read and review those faster.
